Mr. Ma Zengjun, Chairman of WUWM and Chairman of CAWA said in his speech that the first CIIE broadcast a clear message to the world of China’s opening up to the world. As a major platform of agro-produce circulation in China, China’s wholesale markets are under upgrading and the dealers are changing, contributing a larger share to international agricultural trade.

Many fruit and aquatic products distributors have established business relations with Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Chile, Brazil, Russia and other countries. Our agricultural market and distributors need to work closely with foreign producers, importers, associations and governments in various countries, and require relevant governments for policy support, associations for assisting trade.

As the Chairman of the World Union of Wholesale Markets, he also encouraged the participants to take part in WUWM’s activity to make good use of this platform. He particularly proposed the idea of establishing national flagship pavilions in China’s wholesale markets to showcase products from other countries and promote bilateral trade with China, and vice visa in other countries to promote China’s products.

This B2B Roundtable Conference embarked a new starting point of wholesale market sector’s participation at CIIE as a professional purchase team and as an industry.
