Chinese Vice Premier Attends WUWM Congress

China's Vice premier Wu Yi will make a speech during the opening ceremony of the 25th WUWM Congress in September 2007. This congress has attracted good government attention and support due to the immense interest that exists in the country to ensure the ongoing development of China's agricultural wholesale markets. The vice Premier confirmed her attendance after 25th Congress hosts CAWA (the national association for Chinese wholesale markets), with the support of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, invited national leaders within the State Council of the People's Republic of China to attend the congress. The WUWM 25th Congress takes place in Beijing from 3-6 September 2007 under the theme: "The Emerging Strategic Role of Modern Food Markets in the Global Food Supply Chain".
