Hamburg Holds ‘Holy’ Event
December 14, 2010
A ‘HolyShitShopping’ event (yes, it really was called that!) was held in the Hamburg Wholesale Market’s main trading hall on the weekend of 4 and 5 December. The HSS event (as we’ll call it here) was an art and design market offering a platform for young artists to exhibit their work - a total of some 180 exhibitors. The range of products on sale included clothes, paintings, jewellery, and decorations. More than 10,000 visitors attended the show over the course of the weekend ensuring the organizing agency, as well as the Hamburg Wholesale Market management, were left satisfied by its success. Torsten Berens, managing director of Hamburg Wholesale Market, informed WUWM that the HSS event is another opportunity for the market management to move forward with its developmental aim to increasingly open up parts of the market to the public.
