Over 700 delegates from 25 countries were present during this conference, which included participation from wholesale market managers, wholesalers, farmer organizations, and e-commerce companies as well as ambassadors and commercial counsellors from a number of foreign embassies in Beijing.
In contrast with other countries, in China there are many wholesale markets specialized by the kind of products sold, including for example, frozen food, grain and oil, seafood, fruit and vegetables wholesale markets.
Along with the programme of technical presentations made by both Chinese national and international delegates, a trade exhibition of food products was also held.
