SIMAB and CAWA to Launch Flagship Pavilion Program in China
November 22, 2018
On Nov. 12 Mr Rui Paulo Figueiredo (CEO of SIMAB and Board Director of WUWM) met with Mr Zengjun Ma (the Chairman of WUWM and Chairman of CAWA) during Mr Figueiredo's latest visit to China. Consensus were reached between the two parties to collaborate in a National Flagship Pavilion Program, which was initiated by Mr Figueiredo aiming at promoting each country’s agricultural products by setting up a showcase booth in wholesale markets in the other country with the name of “National Flagship Pavilion” to demonstrate overseas agri-products and facilitate trade.
This project will start with identifying prospective Chinese wholesale markets recommended by CAWA to SIMAB for the pilot booths followed by a series of feasibility & profit assessment, discussions of stake-holders’ participation and other negotiations. Both Mr Ma and Mr Figueiredo are looking forward to broader participation from WUWM members and will broadcast this program among the Board Directors in January Board Meeting in The Hague.
SIMAB is now actively seeking international cooperation in more regions & with more partners such as FLAMA & Chinese trading companies. Participation is encouraged among all WUWM Members.
