Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB) is a statutory body established under The Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act 1961 (PAPM Act) with a mandate to set up marketing infrastructure for better regulation of sale, purchase, storage and processing of agricultural produce. The core activities of the HSAM Board is to regulate the agricultural marketing (grains/fruits/vegetables) and to provide the infrastructural facilities for handling / sale / purchase of agricultural/horticultural produces. A wide network of approximately 450 marketing yards has been created covering the entire State to facilitate the marketing of agri. produce. The HSAMB has strong financial backup, its annual turnover varies INR 7500 million to INR 8500 million. The HSAMB serves about 38,000 licensed commission agents/traders. It has about 3200 employees on its rolls for management of Agricultural marketing in the state.
