On 25 June of this year, WUWM held its 2021 WUWM Global Conference in Florence, Italy. The event was titled “Fresh food distribution in the post-Covid-19 world: Challenges, opportunities and pathways to ensure resilient and sustainable food systems and access to healthy diets”. It gathered a total of over 420 participants, from wholesale and retail markets representatives, logisticians, start-ups, academia, governments officials, international organizations, NGOs, the private sector and more.
We would hereby like to thank our members and the participants of the conference for all of their great effort and their contribution in making this event so fruitful. Our team has created a report of the conference with summaries, images and conclusions of the event in Florence which will give those who missed it the opportunity to read through the main outtakes of it and those who attended it the chance to go through the most important aspects of it again.
