FAO is collaborating with WUWM and COSAMB to organize a Regional Symposium on “Shaping the Future for Transforming Food Loss and Waste – Best Practices from Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Markets in Asia”. The symposium will be held on 21–22 January 2026 at Hotel Regenta, The World, Surat, India.
The theme of this conference is closely aligned with the Memorandum of Understanding and ongoing collaboration between FAO and WUWM on reducing food loss and waste through improved wholesale and retail market systems. Asia-Pacific members of WUWM are warmly invited to participate, as the event presents a unique opportunity for WUWM to showcase its global work on modern, sustainable wholesale markets and to further deepen its partnership with FAO and Asian market authorities.
