      🇭🇰 WUWM visits Link Asset Management in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 WUWM visits Link Asset Management in Hong Kong During our visit to Hong Kong, WUWM had the pleasure of meeting with Link Asset Management to learn more about its approach to managing and transforming Hong Kong’s fresh markets. Link is one of the city’s major fresh market operators, with 49 markets across 13 districts. Since launching its renovation programme in 2010, Link has completed 52 market renovations and more than 59 market enhancement projects. Our discussions explored how traditional wet markets can evolve into modern neighbourhood hubs while preserving their essential role in local communities. We exchanged on key challenges facing the sector, from changing consumer habits and rising operating costs to the growing demand for convenience and quality, as well as innovative responses including digitalisation, online-to-offline integration and new customer experiences. The visit concluded at Lok Fu Market, providing a concrete example of Link’s approach to modernising fresh markets while maintaining their traditional character and connection with local communities. A very interesting exchange on the future of fresh markets and the importance of adapting market infrastructure to changing urban lifestyles.
